Here (Ghost) Kitty Kitty | Real Ghost Stories

When they moved into their new home, nothing about it seemed unusual—except for one small detail. The previous owners apparently had a cat that spent a lot of time in the master bedroom, and even their own cats seemed reluctant to spend much time there after moving in.

Then the nighttime visits began.

It always started the same way: the unmistakable feeling of a cat jumping onto the bed, walking across the mattress, and settling in nearby. Anyone who has ever lived with cats knows exactly what that feels like. The problem was that every time they checked, there was nothing there.

For years, she wondered if she was imagining it. Then one night her skeptical husband experienced the exact same thing for himself.

Now, long after they stopped trying to explain it, both of them still occasionally wake up to the sensation of a familiar visitor making its nightly rounds. Whatever it is, it doesn't feel threatening. If anything, it feels like it belongs there.

Which raises an unsettling question: if it isn't one of their cats...whose cat is it?
