End of an Era: Is this the end of Lionel Messi’s amazing legacy? It almost certainly is, and it is a real shame to see his World Cup journey conclude with such an ill-tempered, negative final performance from his team. England's 6-4 Alternate Reality: England beat France 6-4 in an absolutely wild third-place play-off. Frankly, the French probably couldn't be bothered, but for England fans, it was actually quite painful to watch. It offered a glimpse into an alternate reality where we played with far less fear than Thomas Tuchel seemingly instilled in the squad for that semi-final defeat to Argentina.
