#122 - The Call That Changed His Life: A Guide That Every Cop Needs to Hear Before It's Too Late w/Dennis Wardle

One emergency. Two butcher knives. One split-second decision that changed everything.

After spending more than 20 years in law enforcement, Dennis Wardle has seen humanity at its worst. But the greatest lesson from his career wasn't about catching criminals—it was learning how not to lose himself, his marriage, and his family to the job.

In Episode 122 of the Wild Chaos Podcast, Dennis shares the terrifying off-duty incident where he chased an armed suspect carrying two large knives with no firearm of his own, how training took over under pressure, and why so many first responders struggle to leave the job at work.

This conversation goes far beyond policing. We discuss fatherhood, marriage, emotional resilience, faith, identity beyond the badge, vulnerability, leadership at home, and why your career should never become your entire identity. Dennis opens up about learning to become a better husband and father after years of carrying the emotional weight of the profession.

If you're in law enforcement, the military, fire service, or simply trying to become a better man, this episode will challenge the way you think about success, sacrifice, and what truly matters.
