Lv: Vasaras saule dedzīgi lēja gaismu pār Ziemassvētku kalnu.
En: The summer sun fervently poured light over Ziemassvētku Mountain.

Lv: Kalns bija pārpildīts ar tūkstošiem krustu.
En: The mountain was filled with thousands of crosses.

Lv: Katrais bija savāds un īpašs.
En: Each one was peculiar and special.

Lv: Vilnis, nedaudz ekscentrisks amatnieks, skatījās kalnā ar cerībām un bažām.
En: Vilnis, a slightly eccentric craftsman, looked at the mountain with hope and concern.

Lv: Viņš turēja savu paštaisītu, nedaudz gabalu šķībo krustu.
En: He held his self-made, somewhat crooked cross.

Lv: Blakus stāvēja viņa māsa Ilze un draugs Artis.

En: "Looks good," said Ilze, taking the other end of the cross.
