Yuriy Kryvosheya is a Kyiv-based entrepreneur and investor. He is president and managing partner of the Toronto–Kyiv property complex, a co-founder and shareholder of the online bookseller Yakaboo, chair of the supervisory board of the Promprylad innovation centre, and vice-president of the Canada–Ukraine Chamber of Commerce. His business interests include hospitality, impact investment, veteran reintegration and support for families of fallen Ukrainian servicemen and women. A central thread running through his work and commentary is that Ukraine cannot preserve political freedom without building the economic, cultural and institutional capacity to defend it.
