When two longtime friends rented an aging house in the mid-1990s, they expected creaky floors, rattling windows, and all the little quirks that came with an older home. What they didn't expect were the conversations.

It always started the same way. Quiet voices somewhere else in the house. Never loud enough to understand. Never there by the time anyone went looking. At first, they blamed the neighbors, the thin walls, and the house itself. But as the months passed, the strange experiences began to pile up, and even the explanations that once seemed reasonable became harder to believe.

Some houses make noise because they're old. Others leave you wondering if someone is still quietly going about their life...long after they should have been gone.
