Episode 162 - Augie's Quest: A Tribute to the CEO of ALS Research, Augie Nieto

He couldn't walk, but he moved mountains. He couldn't speak, but he said so much. He couldn't write, but he left behind countless messages, and his last one, which appeared a few days ago, showing up in hundreds of email boxes, contained the simple aching phrase: Keep me in your heart. On today's episode of the Tuesday People podcast, host Mitch Albom pays tribute to his friend and founder of Augie's Quest, Augie Nieto. In 2005, the successful fitness industry mogul behind Lifecycle and Life Fitness was diagnosed with ALS. Since then, his mission in life has been clear: To find a cure for ALS. For 18 years, Augie fought that battle with a vengeance, and raised hundreds of millions of dollars toward research and development. Though his body has stopped breathing, Augie's quest and fight lives on. To find out more about Augie's Quest and how you can help continue Augie Nieto's legacy, visit AugiesQuest.org.
