Sl: Ljubljansko barje je magično mesto, polno skrivnosti in naravnih lepot.
En: The Ljubljansko barje is a magical place, full of mysteries and natural beauty.

Sl: Poleti se njegova raznolika pokrajina, s prepredenimi mokrišči in gozdnimi zaplatami, odene v plašč goste megle.
En: In the summer, its diverse landscape, intertwined with wetlands and patches of forest, is cloaked in a shroud of dense fog.

Sl: Tistega poletnega dne, ko se je približeval praznik Marijinega vnebovzetja, so odmevale zgodbice o izgubljenem raziskovalcu.
En: On that summer day, as the holiday of the Assumption of Mary was approaching, stories echoed of the lost explorer.

Sl: Matevž, lokalni čuvaj parka, si je nataknil klobuk in stopil na mokro pot.

Sl: "Trenutek nepazljivosti," je razlagal Matevž ostalim.
En: "A moment of carelessness," Matevž explained to the others.

Sl: Blaž je bil znan raziskovalec, običajno venomer zatopljen v preučevanje edinstvene biodiverzitete tega območja.
En: Blaž was a known researcher, usually always immersed in studying the unique biodiversity of this area.

Sl: Jana, Matevževa praktična in učinkovita sodelavka, je stala ob njem.
En: Jana, Matevž's practical and efficient colleague, stood beside him.

Sl: "Matevž, moral bi poklicati oblasti," je rekla z resnim glasom.
En: "Matevž, you should call the authorities," she said in a serious voice.

Sl: A Matevž je bil trdno prepričan.
En: But Matevž was firmly convinced.

Sl: "Poznam barje kot lasten žep," je trdil ponosno.
En: "I know the barje like the back of my hand," he boasted proudly.

Sl: "Najdem ga lahko sam.
En: "I can find him on my own."

Sl: "In tako je Matevž krenil.
En: And so Matevž set off.

Sl: Mokra trava mu je šumela pod nogami, ptice so žvrgolele svojo poletno melodijo, a megla je bila preveč gosta.
En: The wet grass rustled under his feet, birds chirped their summer melody, but the fog was too thick.

Sl: Ohranjal je mirno glavo, vedoč, da mora slediti instinktu.
En: He kept a calm head, knowing he had to follow his instinct.

Sl: Potke so bile zavajajoče in pogosto zavite.
En: The paths were misleading and often twisted.

Sl: Toda Matevž je naposled zaslišal slaboten klic na pomoč.
En: But Matevž eventually heard a faint call for help.

En: There, in the middle of the dense reeds, a confused and dehydrated Blaž was struggling to stand.

Sl: "Matevž!

En: But he knew he needed the help of Jana to get Blaž out safely.

En: As they worked together to make their way back to safer ground, Matevž realized how valuable Jana was.

En: "Thank you," he said sincerely when they finally caught their breath at the end of the day.

En: He could not accomplish anything alone, not without his friends.

Sl: Svetloba druženja je razblinila meglo izzivov, in barje se je znova zdelo kraj lepote, ne nevarnosti.
En: The light of companionship dispelled the fog of challenges, and the barje once again seemed a place of beauty, not danger.
