Mia is a mama of two originally from Montreal, Canada, now living in Norway.

Mia is a certified doula, Sacred Birthworker, and a Mama Blessing ceremony facilitator who is deeply passionate about physiological birth and supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her work extends to facilitating women’s circles, retreats, and organizing wellness events and festivals in Norway, Portugal, Canada, and beyond.

With a deep love for art and holistic psychology, Mia is completing her Master’s degree in Art Therapy, weaving together creativity, ritual, authentic relating, and evidence-based therapeutic practice. She facilitates Prenatal Art Therapy sessions and is dedicated to creating meaningful spaces where women can reconnect with themselves, cultivate supportive sisterhood, and embrace the transformative journey of motherhood.

In this heartfelt episode, Mia shares the story of her daughter’s profoundly easeful and mystical home water birth, which unfolded in less than 90 minutes. She reflects on the power of surrender, the innate intelligence of the birthing body, and the simple yet profound practices that allowed her to experience birth as peaceful, instinctive, and deeply empowering.

She also reflects on the magic of the first hours postpartum, resting in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by candles and soft galaxy lights, holding and breastfeeding her baby while her doula filled the room with gentle guitar songs from the Amazon jungle, creating an atmosphere of deep peace, love, and reverence.
