Wait Drags on For Iran Deal; Rep. Stevens on State of Democratic Party

The wait dragged on for an Iranian deal with Oman on the Strait of Hormuz, as the Islamic Republic’s top envoy said direct talks with the US were currently impossible.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who said a pact to establish a temporary shipping route through the global energy chokepoint is “very close,” on Sunday criticized what he described as US violations of a short-lived interim peace agreement signed in June.
