En las montañas Kaçkar de Turquía, existe una miel especial llamada "miel loca". La naturaleza limpia de las montañas ayuda a crear una miel muy buena. Proviene de las abejas que recolectan néctar de flores moradas. Estas flores contienen un veneno natural. Sus beneficios o peligros dependen de la cantidad que se consuma, por eso se debe tener cuidado. Una pequeña cantidad de esta miel puede hacer que las personas se sientan tranquilas, pero demasiada puede causar mareos o problemas de salud graves.
