Nutritious – How the Room Plays You Back

Nutritious – How the Room Plays You Back

We know music shapes a room. But how does the room shape the music?

Nutritious — DJ, producer, founder of Liquid Culture Records and a founding team member of DoubleBlind Magazine — has spent two decades reading rooms for a living: the Whitney Museum, Pikes Ibiza, Rodarte at New York Fashion Week. In this episode he flips set and setting on its head.

We talk about the reconnaissance behind a set, why he chases resonance rather than a signature sound, and the loss that Liquid Culture was built out of. We get into why music, ritual and architecture were never meant to be separate disciplines, what the sixties counterculture was used for, and why he thinks nature — especially the sun — is the ultimate psychedelic.

Nutritious is judging Music & Sound at the Psychedelics Design Awards 2026, and composed this season's theme.
