That trading is increasingly concentrated among mega-cap tech and semiconductor names, especially in leveraged ETFs that tracks a single stock. More than 650 such products now exist globally, nearly triple the number at the start of 2025. They have become significant enough that institutional investors now try to time flows around their rebalances and, in some cases, front-run the trades.
