We React to a Reddit AITA About Splitting Money With Your Partner (Ep 124)

We React to a Reddit AITA About Splitting Money With Your Partner (Ep 124)

Ever kept a secret tally of what your partner owes you? Or have your partner agree to something and then not hold up their end of the agreement?

This week we're digging into a Reddit AITA post about a couple stuck in a slow-motion money standoff, and it's messier (and more relatable) than it sounds.

The original poster has been quietly tracking IOUs for over a year: Venmo requests that go unanswered, dinners he always ends up covering, and a running total that's crept past a thousand dollars. He wants to know if keeping that list makes him the asshole.

We dig into:

- Why "not the asshole" doesn't mean the relationship is actually fine

- The difference between tracking money and avoiding a real conversation

- What a shared "fun account" could solve that a Venmo request never will

- Why a cohabitation agreement is worth the awkward conversation, especially when only one of you owns the home

This one's a good gut check for anyone who's ever let a money frustration fester instead of naming it out loud.
