Canada - Did Swiatek, Shelton just enter the US Open mix?

Catherine, David and Matt were live on Friday night to look back on the the last few days in Canada, with Iga Swiatek winning her first title in almost a year and Ben Shelton defending his crown.

Part one - WTA Toronto (00:00 - 36:02). Is Swiatek back? We discuss how she finally played the brand of tennis she’s been working towards with Francisco Roig, the reason she called out the haters in her victory speech, and how a crucial win over Elina Svitolina in the semi-finals set her on the way to the title. There’s also analysis of her dominant display over Elena Rybakina in the final and chat about her excellent celebrations with Elway, the tournament dog.

Part two - ATP Montreal (36:03 -54:55). We cover the brilliant tennis played by Shelton all week, try to make sense of his up and down season, and wonder what it all means heading into the US Open. Plus, a word on Brandon Nakashima who continues to play the best tennis of his career, and who randomly decided to hate on Toronto in his post-match speech.

Part three (54:56 - 1:35:14). We look ahead to Cincinnati and discuss who it could be a big tournament for, including Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic. We then hear from Jack Draper as he opens up about the immense physical, mental and emotional toll of his chronic injury. Finally, in light of some findings from the PTPA and a statement from the ATP, we debate the big picture of injuries in tennis.
