About the Guest: Kristie Gatto, MA, CCC-SLP, COM®, is a certified speech-language pathologist and orofacial myologist with over two decades of experience across public and private schools, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, children’s hospitals, and private practice. Since 2004, Kristie has focused her clinical work on pediatric feeding disorders. Her search for more effective solutions led her to the field of orofacial myology, and in 2011, she became the first certified orofacial myologist in Houston, Texas. Kristie is the owner of The Speech and Language Connection, where she treats patients of all ages with a wide range of concerns including feeding and swallowing disorders, dysphagia, deglutition issues, oral sensory aversions, and sleep-related breathing disorders. Her passion lies in helping individuals overcome complex oral-motor and myofunctional challenges to achieve optimal health and communication outcomes.
