The Houston Texans finally gave us a real look at the starting offense — and there was A LOT to like.

The good, the bad and the ugly are all on the table in this episode of Locked On Texans as we break down Houston’s first-team offensive line, C.J. Stroud’s command of the offense, Marlin Klein’s emerging role and some VERY interesting developments on the depth chart.

🔥 THE GOOD:
• Tytus Brown at center created excellent balance up front.
• Keylan Rutledge looked right at home at his natural guard position, constantly looking for work and finishing blocks.
• Trent Brown was excellent on the right side, helping Houston’s right side account for 29 of Marks’ 37 first-drive yards.
• C.J. Stroud looked completely in control during his limited sample size.
• Houston clearly has a plan for Marlin Klein — and the rookie has George Kittle written all over him… in due time.

😬 THE BAD:
• Wyatt Teller and Braden Smith — two of Houston’s biggest offseason offensive-line additions — are now sitting behind the starters.
• That’s roughly $18 million in salary sitting on the bench.
• Is it time for the Texans to consider moving on from one of them?

👀 THE UGLY & THE SURPRISES:
• What’s next in the Houston Texans offensive line evaluation?
• Wade Woodaz looks like he’s locking down LB3.
• Marte Mapu? That situation is looking much less certain.
• And the Ja-len Gang keeps making plays — Jaylin Smith and Jaylen Reed continue to stand out, especially in run support.

The Texans are still evaluating this roster, but the early signs are getting harder to ignore.
