62 - The Magic Six Hours

For more relationship tips and advice, visit https://dailyrelationshiptips.com/.

When a couple came to Alastair convinced their relationship needed a major overhaul, he taught them something much simpler instead. According to decades of research from Drs John and Julie Gottman, it usually isn't dramatic differences that separate happy couples from struggling ones. It comes down to about six hours a week, spent in small, ordinary moments rather than big gestures.

In this episode, you'll learn exactly where those six hours go: a two-minute greeting and goodbye each day, five minutes of appreciation, five minutes of physical affection, and twenty minutes of real conversation. Add two hours of quality time and one hour for a relationship check-in each week, and that's the full six hours.

Daily Relationship Tips helps couples strengthen relationship communication, rebuild emotional intimacy, restore relationship trust, develop healthy relationship habits, and reconnect before emotional distance becomes permanent.

Hosted by Alastair Duhs, relationship coach and creator of Reconnected.
