Story Transcript:

Cy: Y bore heddiw, gyda'r haul yn goleuo stoneau gwych Castell Caernarfon, Gwyneth cerddodd i mewn drwy'r porthdy mawr.
En: This morning, with the sun illuminating the brilliant stones of Castell Caernarfon, Gwyneth walked in through the large gatehouse.

Cy: Roedd hi'n dal yr ymyl cyffro ac ofn, fel pe bai ei stori am ddod ar draws ei llinell olaf.
En: She held the edge of excitement and fear, as if her story were approaching its final line.

Cy: Yno, yn yr ystafell fawr, clywodd crafu bach plant yn chwarae, sŵn seiren cymdeithasol y teuluoedd twristiaid.
En: There, in the great hall, she heard the little scuffles of children playing, the social siren sound of tourist families.

Cy: Ond roedd llais hen a chyfarwydd yn tynnu ei sylw.
En: But an old and familiar voice drew her attention.

Cy: "Eira, Caradoc," fe alwodd, ei lais yn ddigon uchel i dorri drwy'r dyrfa.
En: "Eira, Caradoc," she called, her voice loud enough to cut through the crowd.

Cy: "Bydd hyn yn wahanol," meddyliai Gwyneth.
En: "This will be different," Gwyneth thought.

Cy: Doedd hi ddim eisiau rhyw ailadroddiad traddodiadol lle roedd hi bob amser yn disgyn i'r cefn.
En: She didn't want a traditional repetition where she always ended up in the background.

Cy: Pan oedd y brodyr a chwiorydd wedi casglu gyda'i gilydd dan y porth, gwnaeth Gwyneth ymdrech.
En: When the brothers and sisters had gathered together under the gate, Gwyneth made an effort.

Cy: Roedd Eira yn edrych gyda'i wyneb tanbaid cyfarwydd, tra oedd Caradoc, gyda'i gonsentradau trwm, yn wir brawd hŷn.
En: Eira looked with her familiar fiery face, while Caradoc, with his heavy concentration, truly appeared the older brother.

Cy: "Rydw i wedi newid," dechreuodd Gwyneth, ei llais yn ffyrnig y tro hwn.
En: "I have changed," Gwyneth began, her voice fierce this time.

Cy: "Ac rydw i angen i chi wybod hynny.
En: "And I need you to know that."

Cy: "Roedd Eira a Caradoc yn edrych ar ei gilydd, chwilio am ymholiad yn wyneb ei gilydd.
En: Eira and Caradoc looked at each other, searching for inquiry in each other's face.

Cy: Ond yna, gyda gwen cynnil, symudodd Caradoc ymlaen yn gyntaf.
En: But then, with a subtle smile, Caradoc moved forward first.

Cy: “Dywed, Gwyneth.
En: "Speak, Gwyneth."

Cy: ”Cerddasant i’r ramparts, lle roedd y morwedd yn hwylio’n isel ac roedd awel organigdeimlad yn siglo'r baneri.
En: They walked to the ramparts, where the sea was sailing low and a spirited breeze was swinging the flags.

Cy: Roedd Gwyneth yn aros, teimlai oherwydd bod popeth yn newid yn y moment hon.
En: Gwyneth paused, feeling that everything was changing in this moment.

Cy: Roedd y castell enfawr yn ei atgoffa o'u hanes fel teulu, craig o draddodiadau a dyheadau.
En: The massive castle reminded her of their family history, a rock of traditions and aspirations.

Cy: "Roeddwn i bob amser yn teimlo fel yr un mewn cysgod," dywedodd Gwyneth, ei llais yn tynnu o'r môr islaw.
En: "I always felt like the one in the shadows," Gwyneth said, her voice drawing from the sea below.

Cy: "Roedd yn teimlo fel pe bawn i byth yn ddigon dda.
En: "It felt like I was never good enough."

Cy: "Safodd Eira a Caradoc yn dawel i ddechrau, fel pe baen nhw'n rhyfeddu at agoriad eu chwaer fach.
En: Eira and Caradoc stood silent initially, as if they marveled at their little sister's openness.

Cy: Ond yna dechreuodd Eira siarad.
En: But then Eira began to speak.

Cy: "Rydym ni i gyd wedi newid," meddai'n feddwlon.
En: "We have all changed," she said thoughtfully.

Cy: "Efallai nad oeddem ni'n gweld hynny.
En: "Maybe we didn't see that.

Cy: Diolch i ti am ddweud.
En: Thank you for saying it."

Cy: "Caradoc, yn ddirybudd, ymunodd, "Ac mae hynny'n bwysig, Gwynnie.
En: Caradoc, unexpectedly, joined in, "And that's important, Gwynnie.

Cy: Tydi ry'n ni'n falch ohonot ti.
En: We are proud of you."

Cy: "Roedd Gwyneth yn ddiymgeledd, ond yn hapus.
En: Gwyneth was vulnerable, yet happy.

Cy: Roedd y pwysau wedi bod ar ei ddisgiau uchaf wedi symud.
En: The weight on her uppermost disks had shifted.

Cy: Roeddent wedi codi ei llais ar y ramparts hyn lle roedd y môr yn galw a’r morwedd yn cwffio am sylw.
En: They had raised her voice on these ramparts where the sea called and the seascape wrestled for attention.

Cy: Unwaith eto, roeddent yn angen aelod o'r teulu.
En: Once again, they were a family member in need.

Cy: Er mai arhosiad byr, teimlai Gwyneth olwyn gefnogaeth yn ffurfio'n ffrio yn ei hamgylchydwyr.
En: Though it was a brief stay, Gwyneth felt a wheel of support forming solidly in her surroundings.

Cy: Roedd Caernarfon, gyda'i ystafelloedd a'i hanes, wedi cadw ei wiri, ac roedd ei feddwl trwy hyn oll fel band ac amlwg i gyfanrwydd y teulu.
En: Caernarfon, with its rooms and history, had kept its promise, and her thoughts throughout it all were like a band, clear and obvious to the entire family.

Cy: Gyda’r nt awelon o’r môr, cerddasant allan o’r castell, gyda heartau gwell, gyda’r promise i bob amser fod yno am ei gilydd.
En: With the sea breezes, they walked out of the castle, with better hearts, with the promise to always be there for each other.

Cy: Roedd yr haul yn troi eu llwybr ymlaen yn olau, a gwnaeth Gwyneth sylweddoli bod ei deulu, am y tro cyntaf mewn amser hir, yn deall.
En: The sun turned their path ahead bright, and Gwyneth realized that her family, for the first time in a long time, understood.

Cy: Roedd y foment hon yn dyfodol newydd, un lle byddent gyd-fynd, fel cerrig sylfaen y castell oedd gyda'i gilydd yn canu cân gartref.
En: This moment was a new future, one where they would belong together, like the foundation stones of the castle singing a song of home together.
