The skull that a man washed with dish soap

A human skull was found in an abandoned car, washed with dish soap and placed on a television before being handed over to the police. This skull, which waited ten years to be identified as Kelly Disney, a seventeen-year-old girl who went missing in 1984, reveals a story where the last person to see her alive was someone she trusted. Who was that person and why does their identity remain a mystery forty years later?

In this episode, we analyze the disappearance of Kelly Disney, a high school student who moved to Newport, Oregon, and whose skull was found a decade after her disappearance. We reconstruct the events of the night of March 8, 1984, when Kelly left her apartment and was last seen on Highway 20, refusing help from multiple people. What led her to make that decision and why do investigators believe she willingly got into a car with someone she knew?
