अमर सिंह देवंदा - भारत के 24-hour National Record holder (282.881 km, Hirosaki 2026) और 100km में 7 घंटे का barrier तोड़ने वाले पहले भारतीय (6:59:37, Bangkok)। लेकिन यह episode records से शुरू नहीं होता। यह शुरू होता है जयपुर के चीथवाड़ी गांव से — जहां एक लड़का खेती और डेयरी का काम करते हुए बड़ा हुआ, school में कभी sports नहीं खेला, और 17 साल की उम्र में Air Force चला गया।

Part 1 में पूरा arc है: दादी की भविष्यवाणी और selection, पहली मैराथन 2:37 में standby runner के तौर पर, Border 100km जहां hydration vest में bladder ही नहीं था, पहला 24hr National Record — जिसके आखिर में वो cheering से छुपने washroom में बैठ गए। और फिर वो तीन races जिन्होंने सब बदल दिया: Albi World Championship का दिल तोड़ने वाला failure, Bangkok में इतिहास, और Hirosaki का 282 km — जहां एक छोटी सी electrolyte की गलती ने 300 km का सपना अगली race तक टाल दिया।

साथ में: Santhosh Padmanabhan का system, same-pace strategy, carbs-per-hour की science, और वो जवाब जो हर athlete को सुनना चाहिए - "हमें कोई reward नहीं चाहिए, बस हमारी आवाज़ हर उस बंदे तक पहुंचे जिसे आवाज़ की ज़रूरत है।"
