Megan Swan is a wellness strategist, trauma-informed hypnotherapist, and founder of Altavita — a medical wellness travel company that takes small groups on retreat to Chiapas, Mexico. Altavita blends advanced diagnostics with nervous system regulation and cultural immersion, offering a rare experience: a full picture of your health in a place that actually lets you heal.

Megan holds nine coaching certifications, an MA in Integrated Studies, and a BA in Psychology and International Relations. She is a certified NLP Practitioner, Breathwork Facilitator, Ashtanga Yoga Instructor, Detoxification Expert, and Sober Life Coach.

Having lived in Chiapas for over 15 years, Megan brings deep cultural and medical relationships to every Altavita retreat — a level of access no medical tourism company can replicate.

She is also the author of Marinating in Chaos (2025) and the creator of Wellness Infrastructure — a Substack exploring nervous system science, health politics, and the hidden cost of running on empty.

Megan is 8+ years alcohol-free, plant-based, an avid runner, and a fierce advocate for treating your body as data — not a problem to manage. She lives in Calgary, Alberta.
