A deep-dive into our hormones & nervous system - with Dr Fatima Khan

Dr Fatima Khan is a women’s health doctor. She has trained in psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, and general practice and has an Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care. Fatima is the author of the new “Hormone Health is Mental Health: How perimenopause hijacks your brain — and how to reclaim yourself”.

We loved this title and the concept that hormone health is mental health so we wanted to have Fatima on the podcast to talk about it!

In this episode we speak about the menstrual cycle and what is happening to our hormones at each stage of the cycle, the characteristics of estrogen & progesterone, PMDD, and the importance of small daily practices to support our nervous systems.
