Hr: Petar je sjedio u svojoj sobi, gledajući kroz prozor na vrt pun jesenskog lišća.
En: Petar was sitting in his room, looking out the window at the garden full of autumn leaves.

Hr: Bio je ljut na sebe.
En: He was angry with himself.

Hr: Prije nekoliko tjedana, ozlijedio je nogu i sada se morao osloniti na štake.
En: A few weeks ago, he had injured his leg and now had to rely on crutches.

Hr: Njegova sestra Ivana mu je stalno govorila da uspori i pazi na sebe, ali on je bio tvrdoglav.
En: His sister, Ivana, constantly told him to slow down and take care of himself, but he was stubborn.

Hr: Nije želio biti teret obitelji.
En: He didn't want to be a burden to the family.

Hr: U velikoj obiteljskoj kući, sve je bilo toplo i ugodno.

Hr: Prva je noć nakon dugo vremena kada je osjetio mir.
