Ro: Într-o dimineață răcoroasă de toamnă, Andrei păși pentru prima dată în camera sa de cămin.
En: On a cool autumn morning, Andrei stepped for the first time into his dorm room.

Ro: Valiza grea se lovea de treptele vechi, în timp ce gândurile îi zburau la toate schimbările care aveau să vină.
En: The heavy suitcase bumped against the old steps as his thoughts wandered to all the changes that were to come.

Ro: Era un student conștiincios dintr-un orășel mic din România, hotărât să reușească la facultate.
En: He was a diligent student from a small town in Romania, determined to succeed in college.

Ro: Camera era mică, cu pereți plini de afișe colorate și cărți îngrămădite pe rafturi.
En: The room was small, with walls full of colorful posters and books crammed on shelves.

Ro: Aerul mirosea a frunze uscate și a emoții noi.
En: The air smelled of dry leaves and new emotions.

Ro: Curând, ușa se deschise și pătrunse Ioana, colega lui de cameră.
En: Soon, the door opened and Ioana, his roommate, entered.

Ro: Eu sunt Ioana!
En: I'm Ioana!

Ro: Cred că o să ne distrăm de minune împreună!
En: I think we're going to have a great time together!

Ro: În zilele care au urmat, Andrei și Ioana au început să se cunoască mai bine.
En: In the following days, Andrei and Ioana started to get to know each other better.

Ro: Ioana povestea despre excursiile ei și despre dorința de a descoperi lumea.
En: Ioana talked about her trips and her desire to discover the world.

Ro: Andrei, deși introvertit, se simțea atras de povestirile ei și, încet-încet, se deschidea tot mai mult.
En: Andrei, although introverted, was drawn to her stories and, little by little, opened up more and more.

Ro: Pe de altă parte, Matei, prietenul din copilărie al lui Andrei și coleg de facultate, părea sceptic față de Ioana.
En: On the other hand, Matei, Andrei's childhood friend and college mate, seemed skeptical about Ioana.

Ro: — Sigur ești ok, Andrei?
En: — Are you sure you're okay, Andrei?

Ro: Ioana pare prea aventuroasă, spunea Matei în timp ce discutau pe balconul căminului.
En: Ioana seems too adventurous, Matei said as they talked on the dorm balcony.

Ro: Andrei simțea că trebuie să își urmeze instinctele.
En: Andrei felt he had to follow his instincts.

Ro: Timpul petrecut cu Ioana era plin de descoperiri și umor, iar el începea să simtă ceva mai mult decât prietenie.
En: The time spent with Ioana was full of discoveries and humor, and he began to feel something more than friendship.

Ro: Într-o noapte, în timp ce studiau târziu la bucătăria comună, Ioana părea mai tăcută decât de obicei.
En: One night, while studying late in the communal kitchen, Ioana seemed quieter than usual.

Ro: Andrei întrebă cu grijă:— Ești bine, Ioana?
En: Andrei asked carefully: — Are you okay, Ioana?

Ro: Pari îngândurată.

Ro: Ioana oftă și privi pe fereastră.
En: Ioana sighed and looked out the window.

Ro: — Știi, și eu am temeri.
En: — You know, I have fears too.

Ro: Vreau să mă descurc bine la facultate, să nu dezamăgesc pe nimeni.
En: I want to do well in college, not to disappoint anyone.

Ro: Uneori mă simt pierdută.
En: Sometimes I feel lost.

Ro: Andrei zâmbi, simțind că și el putea să vorbească deschis.
En: Andrei smiled, sensing that he could also speak openly.

Ro: — Și eu mă tem de noi începuturi, Ioana, și-mi doresc să fac totul perfect.
En: — I’m afraid of new beginnings too, Ioana, and I want to do everything perfectly.

Ro: Dar cred că pot să îmi împart timpul între învățat și lucruri care mă fac fericit, ca timpul petrecut cu tine.
En: But I think I can balance my time between studying and doing things that make me happy, like spending time with you.

Ro: Ochii Ioanei se iluminară și zâmbetul ei familiar reveni.
En: Ioana's eyes lit up and her familiar smile returned.

Ro: Cei doi își înțeleseseră dorințele și fricile, găsind în celălalt un sprijin prețios.
En: The two of them understood each other's desires and fears, finding in one another a precious support.

Ro: Hotărâră să își dea o șansă la o relație, promițându-și să crească împreună.
En: They decided to give a relationship a chance, promising to grow together.

Ro: Pe măsură ce toamna își urma cursul, Andrei se schimbase.
En: As autumn followed its course, Andrei had changed.

Ro: Nu doar că învăța cu pasiune, dar și lăsa loc în viața sa pentru aventură și iubire.

Ro: Realiza că echilibrul dintre studiile sale și relația cu Ioana era posibil.
