where do I even begin? this is the first time an episode has left me this speechless.

I found meg by total fluke - my best friend Taylor started talking about this course.. and . she had mentioned this course quite a few times, how much she thought it would be beneficial to her, and how much she needed it. then one day, she got accepted. when she started taking this program, I noticed such a shift in Taylor.. a good one. it was amazing to watch my best friend grow before my eyes - to watch her blossom, to heal, to love, to accept, and to understand. Taylor has been a major part of my personal journey, and to watch her flourish like this, I had to know who was behind this.,.

Trauma is REAL, and is something Megan and I share.. yet we have both found how to not allow our "defining moments" become our defining moments.

this podcast was originally for trying to communicate with my ex husband.. he communicated best with sound, so I made the podcast in hopes that maybe by listening to my words through an earbud, he would finally get it.. plot twist, it didn't. and how fucking ridiculous does that sound? I actually kept all of the original episodes up, and in one of them I'm having a mental break down because of him.

my marriage was one of the darkest parts of my life - between dealing with a book definition narcissistic sociopath, a spinal injury, the thought of losing my career, and being the most alone I'd ever felt, and I was pretty damn lonely as a kid, its left me at a loss of words most days, its left me feeling lonely, isolated, discouraged.

I knew I didn't want this to define me. I just needed to grow through it. I needed to grow through my trauma...

when I learned who meg was and what she did, I felt like it was a sign. it was a sign that I'm on the right path - that this pain IS trauma, and no one can make me feel less than.

talking with her made me feel normal, despite this being an interview.

Megan is a trauma informed coach. we dive into what her job entails, how she deals with it all, and how becoming a trauma informed coach has transformed her journey to self love. we discuss a little about being self made and an entrepreneur, but more importantly, the why behind what she does. she took a dark and scarring moment of her life and turned it into her biggest super power.

Megan Schnetzer is a trauma survivor turned certified trauma-informed coach who works at the Healing Hub. She has training and certification in the following: Complex PTSD, Trauma & Resilience, Polyvagal Theory, and Somatic Attachments. She is a forever student and is always looking to expand her knowledge of trauma. She also works at a local University where she brings awareness to the need for trauma-informed approaches in schools and curricula. She is passionate about helping other people process their past trauma and hurt so that they can step into the beautiful future they deserve - a future where they are no longer just surviving... but thriving. She lives in Delaware with her husband, dog, and three kids. She loves spending time with her family, music, writing, and any activity that involves being outside!
