What's the Best Mobile Passport App?

If you're planning a trip, you may be wondering what's the best mobile passport app to use. There are many choices, including Mobile Passport Plus, Airside Digital ID, and Customs and Border Protection Mobile Passport Control. If you're going to use a mobile passport app, you should learn more about these options before you decide which one is right for you.

Mobile Passport Plus

The Mobile Passport app allows you to check in and out of an airport without waiting in long lines. It works at thirty-one major US airports and four seaports. Currently, it is not accepted at international airports, but more are on the way. While the app has some similar benefits to Global Entry, there are some notable differences.

The app allows you to enter information on your passport or take a picture of your passport. Make sure to input your information exactly as it appears on your passport. This includes your passport number, your surname and any given names you may have. Other information that you'll need to enter is your date of birth, your sex, and your country of citizenship. You'll also need a clear, forward-facing photo.

With the Mobile Passport app, travelers don't have to wait in long lines to get through passport control. In addition, travelers will benefit from exclusive use of CBP lanes at participating airports. This feature will not increase wait times for frequent travelers. In addition, early adopters will receive exclusive access to dedicated CBP lanes at participating airports.

The app is free to download on your iOS or Android mobile device. To use the app, you must have a working Wi-Fi or mobile data connection at participating points of entry. After you've downloaded the app, you'll be prompted to answer questions regarding your trip. When you've finished, the app will generate a QR code which you can show at immigrations. However, this app cannot replace a real passport, so you'll still need to have your passport or a copy of it with you when you depart.

The Mobile Passport Plus app has a free version and a paid version. Users of the Free version will need to enter their passport information and travel information. They will need to enter their air travel information, cruise line information, and port of entry. Once they have entered their information, they'll need to answer five questions to complete their customs declaration form.

The Mobile Passport app offers expedited service through customs for Global Entry members. It's free to download, but you will have to be a member of Global Entry before you can use the app.
