Franky was only 16 when a friend from Sunday school showed him a key that could unlock multiple Toyota Tacomas. What began as joyriding quickly became a South Florida car-theft operation involving tow-truck drivers, hotel insiders, rental cars, luxury vehicles, chop shops and orders for specific car parts.In this full episode of the 10 Toes Podcast, Franky reveals how he became known as the “Grand Theft Auto of South Florida.” He explains how stolen cars were located, unlocked, started and delivered—and why he sometimes received only $500 or $600 for taking vehicles worth thousands.Franky also opens up about stealing rental cars from hotels, supplying vehicles to chop shops, participating in staged accidents and using insiders to access cars, expensive suits, checks and other property. After an earlier grand-theft conviction placed him on probation, another arrest threatened to connect him to nine additional stolen vehicles.
