We're bringing back a very important episode about first grader Gabriel Fernandez. His mother, Pearl Fernandez, was an unfit parent, completely detached from her children …especially Gabriel. Plain and simple, she despised her young son and put him through years of neglect and abuse. Pearl’s boyfriend took part in the abuse …until it escalated to a point at which young Gabriel’s body had sustained all it could take. There were multiple cries for help, multiple red flags and blatant signs, and multiple reports of abuse. Still, young Gabriel lost his life at the hands of people who should have loved and protected him. Gabriel was murdered, and it could have been prevented. This is part of Gabriel’s story. Kelsey Turner was the kind of woman who drew people in without trying. Her bleach-blonde hair and hourglass figure made her a natural model. In a sea of beautiful California women, though, modeling gigs weren’t plentiful enough to support her expensive tastes. Like many young women nowadays, she turned to online sites to sell amateur photos.  By doing so, Kelsey caught the attention of many admirers. Among them was prominent psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Burchard. Despite pushing 70, he was infatuated with 25-year-old Kelsey and offered her ample financial perks to keep her happy.  But the doctor’s attraction for Kelsey began to seriously cloud his judgment. It turned out his giving, sympathetic nature only made him more vulnerable to dangerous predators. What would you be willing to do for your best friend? Tell a lie? Keep their darkest secret? Commit a crime? What if your best friend asked you to take their life? What would you do then?   Trevor Bartlett and Mario Mills were best friends. On cold Wyoming nights, the pair would escape to Mills’ garage to drink, smoke and play cards until they could barely stand. Most times, the worst damage was some vomit and a splitting hangover. But on the evening of March 25, 2020, the result was far different. An early morning 911 call drew police to the nondescript home in a quiet residential neighborhood. When a 25 year old Jessica McCormack and her three young daughters disappeared suddenly in July of 2019, Jessica’s closest friends thought she was taking time away to decompress. They had conversations with her on Facebook while she was gone, but it soon became clear that the person on Facebook was just an imposter who’d hacked into Jessica’s account. Several weeks later, Jessica’s body was found on a highway in the Ozarks after apparently falling out of a suitcase that she’d been stuffed into. The shocking discovery prompted a search for Jessica’s three daughters.
