Biography Flash: Bongino Expands His Radio Empire as FBI Shakeup Unfolds

Dan Bongino Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Dan Bongino’s most significant recent development is the expansion of his broadcasting career. Barrett Media reports that his new one hour morning program, The Bongino Report AM, launched September 24 on more than 280 radio stations nationwide, airing from 5 to 6 a.m. Eastern. Bongino reportedly announced the rollout himself, making the launch an important step in his return to a larger daily media platform after leaving the FBI. He has also continued producing his podcast. Bongino’s own website lists episodes released September 23 through September 25, including Trump Throws Down At The U.N., Is This The October Surprise?, and What Is Really Happening Here? The programs focused heavily on election administration, the Trump administration, immigration, media coverage, and FBI personnel changes. His September 25 episode also promoted commentary about alleged voter roll problems and changes inside the FBI, reinforcing the political themes that have defined his post-government career. The major headline involving Bongino in the past 24 hours concerns the departure of Andrew Bailey, one of the FBI’s two deputy directors. The Associated Press reports that Bailey announced September 28 that he would leave the bureau after slightly more than a year and return to Missouri to spend time with his family. Bailey was appointed in August 2025 to serve alongside Bongino, and he remained after Bongino’s own departure. FBI Director Kash Patel praised Bailey’s contribution in a social media post. The story has renewed attention on the unusual leadership structure Bongino helped establish at the bureau, although there is no verified indication that Bongino played any role in Bailey’s decision. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Bongino was appointed as FBI deputy director despite having no prior FBI experience, following his career as a Secret Service agent and conservative broadcaster. Multiple reports say he left the bureau in January 2026 after less than a year, amid tensions surrounding the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Those tensions are documented as reported circumstances, not a complete official explanation. Fox News also recently featured Bongino discussing the possibility that Democrats could have a sleeper presidential candidate for 2028. No verified report indicates that Bongino is preparing a political campaign of his own. His recent public profile remains centered on radio, podcasting, political commentary, and continued advocacy for the Trump movement. Thank you for listening.
