The Stress Release Exhale: Breathe Out What's Weighing You Down

Hey there, friend. I'm Julia, and I'm so glad you've carved out this time for yourself today. Whether you're sitting in your car, on a park bench, or stealing five minutes before the day really gets rolling, you're exactly where you need to be. Stress has this funny way of sneaking up on us, doesn't it? It wraps around our shoulders like an invisible backpack we didn't ask for. But here's the thing: you've already taken the hardest step by showing up. So let's lighten that load together. Before we dive in, just get comfortable however that looks for you. You don't need perfect posture or a meditation cushion. Just find a seat where you feel grounded. Maybe roll your shoulders back a couple times. That's it. Now, I want you to notice your breath. Not to change it yet, just observe it. Is it shallow or deep? Fast or slow? Warm or cool as it enters your nose? There's no right answer here. You're just becoming the curious observer of your own experience. Here's what we're going to do today. I call it the Stress Release Exhale, and it's genuinely simple. We're going to use the power of breathing, but with intention. Breathe in through your nose for a count of four. Feel that oxygen traveling down, reaching every part of your body. Hold it for just a moment. Then here's the magic: exhale through your mouth, slowly, like you're fogging a mirror or cooling hot soup. Make it longer than your inhale. Count to six or seven if you can. Your exhale is your release valve. That's where stress leaves your body. So really lean into it. Make it audible if you want. A gentle sigh. Let each exhale be a little goodbye to what's been weighing on you. Let's do this together eight times. In through the nose for four. Hold. Out through the mouth for six or seven. I'll guide you through a few, and then you've got this. Ready? Let's begin. In for one, two, three, four. Hold. Out, slowly, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Good. Again. In, two, three, four. Hold. Out, letting it all release. Notice your shoulders dropping just a little. One more time. In through the nose. Out through the mouth. Beautiful. You've just given your nervous system permission to settle. Carry this with you today. When you feel that tension creeping back, remember your exhale. It's always there, your portable stress release. Thank you so much for joining me on Stress Relief. If this resonated with you, I'd love for you to subscribe so you never miss a practice. You deserve this kind of peace, and I'm honored to be your guide. For great deals today, check out https://amzn.to/47ZqpWT
