Unsolved & Unjust: The Murder of Corryn Rayney

A crime that sent shockwaves through Western Australia—Corryn Rayney, a devoted mother and respected lawyer, was found buried in a shallow grave in Kings Park in August 2007. Her brutal murder triggered one of the largest criminal investigations in Australian history, but instead of uncovering justice, it unraveled into a case mired in controversy and missteps.

Police quickly honed in on Corryn’s husband, Lloyd Rayney, a prominent criminal barrister, branding him as the sole suspect in a very public manner. Yet, their investigation was riddled with tunnel vision, critical evidence was overlooked, and promising suspects were disregarded. Despite his acquittal and the court’s clear dismissal of the case against him, the question remains: Who killed Corryn Rayney?

Join us as we examine how a flawed investigation allowed a killer to walk free, and explore the lingering mystery behind one of Australia’s most infamous unsolved cases.
