In Boobs in the News we’re going back to 2014 in a tragic story that spans a decade. We’re not a true crime podcast but this boob crime story is one we had to get off our chest. On September 29, 2014, tragedy struck when a neighbor found Christy Harris, or Christina Ann-Thompson Harris, cold to the touch in her bed after Christy’s husband asked the neighbor to go check on his wife when she wasn’t responding to him. This loving, dedicated, breastfeeding mother never expected to go to bed that night and not wake up to care for her 2 young children. What happened? Did she really die of natural causes? Was it an accident that just didn’t make sense? Or was there something more? We have a LOT to say about this and complete admiration for the family that honors Christy’s memory by not giving up their fight for justice. From the November 2022 20/20 Episode “Cold to the Touch” and the 2024 appeal, the story of Christy’s death is more than drugs and betrayal, it is love, family, dedication, and breastmilk.
