Grounded in 60 Seconds — The 5-4-3-2-1 Practice

Does your brain ever feel so full that you can't find a quiet place to put what you’re carrying down? You're not anxious, exactly —you're just scattered. And that scattered feeling makes everything harder, including creativity.

In this episode, I share a simple, fast, and surprisingly powerful grounding technique called 5-4-3-2-1 — a sensory practice that pulls you out of your head and back into the present moment in less than a minute.

I also get personal about my own struggles with traditional meditation, and how art journaling became my unexpected way in — and why pairing it with grounding practices like this one makes both more effective.
