Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 1 REVIEW! Is This the Super Remake We Needed?

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is officially here, and Kyle is breaking down Episode 1 of the newly reworked Dragon Ball Super anime! Is this essentially Dragon Ball Super Kai, or is Toei Animation delivering something even better? From gorgeous updated visuals and improved lighting to tighter pacing, refreshed sound effects, and a surprisingly intimidating Beerus, there's plenty to love about this new take on the Battle of Gods storyline.

Kyle dives into Goku's newly animated image training against Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu, the brilliant parallel between Goku and Beerus awakening to their desire for a worthy opponent, and the return of Mr. Satan's surprisingly heartfelt character development. Plus, we discuss the new opening theme "Onogami" by Megaterra Zero, the differences between the original Dragon Ball Super anime and this updated adaptation, and what Kibito Shin's appearance could mean for Dragon Ball Daima, Super Saiyan 4, and the increasingly complicated Dragon Ball canon.

Finally, Kyle compares the early Crunchyroll reception of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus with Dragon Ball Daima, questions why Dragon Ball still can't deliver a proper simultaneous English dub, and responds to fans complaining about revisiting old material instead of jumping straight into the Moro Arc. Is Dragon Ball Super: Beerus already proving the doubters wrong? Let's talk about it!
