Veda Austin: The Living Language of Water and the Search for Lost Knowledge

Could water be more responsive to the world around us than we imagine? Join Cliff Dunning on Earth Ancients as water researcher, artist, and author Veda Austin explores the striking patterns that emerge as water begins to freeze—and what she believes they reveal about water, memory, and consciousness.

Drawing on 14 years of exploration, Austin uses a distinctive freezing and photographic method to document water at the threshold between liquid and ice. She interprets the resulting imagery as responses to words, images, thoughts, and intentions, raising provocative questions about our relationship with this essential substance.

Can water retain impressions of its surroundings? How does Austin connect ice formations with human intention? And how can we distinguish meaningful responses from patterns we recognize and interpret?

Discover Austin’s perspective on water as “fluid intelligence” in a conversation that brings together art, observation, and an unconventional view of the natural world. Her interpretations invite curiosity and investigation; they are not established scientific findings.

Listen to Earth Ancients and explore the mystery of water through a different lens.
