#13 Exploring Neuroproliferative Vestibulodynia the Intersection of Endometriosis, Vestibulodynia, and Painful Sex with Dr. Irwin Goldstein and Dr. Paul Yong

In today's episode, I talk with two exceptional physicians who are making significant strides in the field - Dr. Irwin Goldstein, a urologist based in San Diego, and Dr. Paul Yong, a distinguished researcher and physician from Vancouver, Canada. Join us as we delve into the fascinating world of sexual medicine with Over the last seven years, I've had the privilege of collaborating with Dr. Goldstein, and more recently, Dr. Yong with his work in connecting endometriosis and vestibulodynia.

ISSWSH – the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health is a multidisciplinary, international organization of people passionate about sexual health. Check out ISSWSH fall course in Arizona (Oct 2023) and the annual scientific conference in Long Beach, CA (Feb 2024) https://www.isswshcourse.org/. ISSWSH's commitment to advancing sexual health knowledge is truly commendable, and we encourage you to engage with this community.

Our focus for this episode is a subject that deeply intrigues me: dyspareunia, commonly known as painful sex, and its intricate connection to endometriosis and vestibulodynia. Dr. Yong and his team recently published their research findings in the Journal of Sexual Medicine Reviews, titled "Neuroproliferative dyspareunia in endometriosis and vestibulodynia.”
