PANIC WATCH: Should Fans FEAR Colorado Avalanche and Nathan MacKinnon's Early SEASON Swoon?

Colorado Avalanche stumble out of the gate—should fans hit the panic button after last season’s dominance? Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks are also raising eyebrows with their disappointing early struggles and unresolved goaltending dilemmas.

The conversation focused on the Avalanche’s unexpected slide, with Scott Wedgewood’s shaky play and diminished depth signaling potential trouble ahead. Key themes include Buffalo’s goaltending woes following the Connor Hellebuyck saga and Anaheim’s offensive power outage despite Leo Carlsson and Cutter Gauthier anchoring the young core. The discussion explored whether Zach Benson and other Sabres can rediscover last season’s spark, and if the Ducks can replace lost scoring from Chris Kreider and Troy Terry. With heated “concern-o-meter” debates for each team and a look at how the Eastern and Western Conference playoff races are shaping up, this episode is essential listening for NHL fans tracking early-season surprises and potential turning points.
