Normally we try to give every story their individual spotlight on this show, but in this case it was necessary to mention these two women together. The cases are not legally connected. The women did not know each other. Though they both were reported dead on the same day, in the same city, in eerily similar fashions. But the main thread that connects them is in the gross mishandling of their cases by the Bridgeport, Connecticut Police department. In the late evening of August 21, 1986 a killer swept through the Cameroonian village of Nyos. This killer claimed the lives of every man, woman, child, and animal it came across. By the morning of the 22nd, nearly 2000 people were found dead.
