South Chicago has long been considered as the birthplace of American serial killers, and with names like H.H. Holmes and John Wayne Gacey, and Richard Speck, ringing in the air it's easy to see why. Since January of 2001 there have been 51 unsolved and oddly similar homicides in the south and west Chicago areas involving mostly black women who work mainly in the sex industry. She had been asphyxiated and had blunt force trauma. -Catherine Saterfield-Buchanan was found strangled in a parkway on June 22. 2018: -Valerie Marie Jackson was found strangled in a yard on March 17. -Lora Dawn Harbin's body was located in a grassy yard of an abandoned resident on May 25. -Nicole Lynell Ridge was found strangled in a garage of an abandoned building on June 12. -Reo Renee Holyfield's body was located in a garbage can in an alley due to possible strangulation on September 10th.
