Hi! It’s Shayna from EspressoEnglish.net and today you’ll learn 20 words that most people spell wrong. In fact, two of them are in the title of this video!

1. The word definitely does NOT have an “A.” Some people even write “defiantly” which is a completely different word. But the correct spelling of definitely is definitely.

2. And the other mistake is your, y-o-u-r. In the title of the video it should be you’re, which is short for “you are.” The version spelled y-o-u-r is for possession - your house, your dog, your backpack.

Before I continue, I want to invite you to download the free lesson guide, which actually has 100 commonly misspelled words. Click on the link in the video description and enter your email address, and I’ll send you that free PDF download.

15 phrases & expressions with CAN'T

Download free PDF + Quiz: https://espressoenglish.lpages.co/free-pdf-15-expressions-with-cant/  Today we’re going to learn 15 English phrases and expressions using the word can’t - like can’t be bothered, can’t hold a candle, can’t stomach, and more.  I bet a number of these expressions will be new to you. So make sure to download the PDF guide to this lesson, which also includes a quiz to help you practice. You can get that by clicking here and entering your e-mail address: https://espressoenglish.lpages.co/free-pdf-15-expressions-with-cant/  All right, I can’t wait to get started! There’s a famous quote by Henry Ford that goes like this: “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t - you’re right.” This means if you have a positive attitude and you believe you can do something, then you will be able to do it. But if you have a negative attitude and you believe you can’t do something, then you won’t be able to do it. Our mindset has a very powerful effect on our success. So that’s why I’m always encouraging you not to say or think things like “I can’t speak English very well” or “I can’t become fluent” because these attitudes will actually prevent you from reaching your goal. I believe you CAN reach your English-learning goals, and I’m here to help you with my lessons and courses. One of the best ways to learn is to join my Complete Program, so you can improve every area of your English and get a 50% discount.
