471: Do you have ability beyond your own needs?

Zig references a charge given to him by a teacher and coach who influenced his life, and later became his father in law! The coach said, “Those of you who have an ability which goes beyond just providing for your own needs, have a responsibility AND opportunity to reach down and lift up those people who do not have that same ability and opportunity.” We have more and more people today who have great hearts, great things to offer, but they feel alone, isolated, unsupported and in many ways…stuck. YOU are a product and you are on planet earth to serve. Selling is influencing. If you can’t effectively influence others in a positive way, you can’t really serve them much. Thus if you are walking through life today with no formal understanding of and training in selling/influencing, you are living life handicapped. I’ll even submit you are handicapping those you love because you are not as effective as you should be in helping them…because you aren’t listening enough, caring enough or successfully speaking their language.
