What is a diabetologist (and should you see one?)

Have you heard of a diabetologist? This is a newer specialty in the U-S that may help offset the lack of endocrinologists. Most people with type 2 see a general practitioner and the diabetology certification helps those doctors learn about the latest in diabetes care. We'll talk about how to find one of these rare experts, why there could be more of them soon, and get advice about how to make the most of your diabetes visit to ANY doctor.

This podcast is not intended as medical advice. If you have those kinds of questions, please contact your health care provider.
