
The Cheshire Murders
Bill Petit and his wife Jennifer Hawke-Petit had built a wonderful life. They lived in the upscale neighborhood of Cheshire, Connecticut with their two amazing daughters 17-year-old Hayley and 11-year-old Michaela. In 2007, Jennifer and Michaela were at the grocery when they caught the eye of Joshua Komisarjevsky. Joshua followed them home and realized their house was the perfect burglary target for him and his partner. Joshua met fellow career criminal Steven Hayes early in 2007 at a halfway house and the two were looking to continue burglarizing houses.
