Decolonizing Autism Services

Alison Gerlach, assistant professor in the School of Child and Youth Development at the University of Victoria talks about the need for an Indigenous lens in autism diagnosis and service delivery. Pointing to gaps in the existing literature, Alison makes the case for further research conducting with Indigenous communities, and the importance of centering Indigenous discourses on disability.
