Kristen is psyched for the start of football season and, therefore, fall. Danielle has a weird association between tomatoes and chocolate chip cookies that she has no idea how it happened. Veronica Mars season 4, episode 5, "Losing Streak": -Synopsis -Logan definitely lets a little jealousy show about how much time Veronica has spent with Leo. -Does he have a reason to be jealous of their friendship? -Police Chief Langdon is a little rough with how she handles the latest bomb victims' father, but he was kind of an ass. -How does this show want us to feel about this police force and the new Chief? -You know what, let's go to a party. Veronica and Nicole wreak a little bit of havoc. Just a tiny bit. -Sometimes you leave a party to go do a little shooting, not a great thing to be doing under the influence, if you ask us. -Nicole gets honest with Veronica about her rape, and V is really quiet about it. -Veronica bugs Nicole's office at the end of the episode, and we have some differing opinions about the how and why of it all. -Let's talk about Veronica and Weevil's scene in this episode. -Big Dick and Clyde are working with the PCH-ers -Keith gets day drunk with Clyde and it's interesting (and kind of cool) that Keith has friends. -Pizza guy does have a small presence in this ep, as he picks through the bomber's letter with the other murderheads. -Ducks and bugs and rats, oh my! -Mattie is evolving into Veronica 2.0 quite quickly. -How do we feel about things coming full circle? -Keith is thinking of not only retiring from the business, but of closing down Mars Investigations altogether. -Talk about full circle moments: Can Keith end up as Veronica's receptionist, please? Shame. -Ghosts of cases past trip to Chino. -Were we surprised by anyone we saw? -Tim the TA is now a jailhouse lawyer. -Mercer is still gross. -Keith finds out Big Dick is buying up seaside businesses by using shell companies pretending to be Mom and Pop shops. -A guy wakes up with a bomb strapped to him. -This will be seared into our brains forever. -The FBI is here and so is super hot Leo Dimatto. -He brings Veronica food! -But he's also kind of a creepy and terrible person? -Book plot shout out: Veronica working with Leo on the rape case at the Neptune Grand. -Leo and Veronica have a heart to heart about their love lives and snacks -Logan is VERY OG Logan in this episode with all of his snark. -Weevil saves Veronica. -To be fair, she was kind of dumb. -Matty is hanging out with the Murderheads. -This is maybe not a good thing. -Maluf’s mom hires Vinnie Van Lowe to find the fiance’s ring. -Veronica catches Clyde at the hardware store. -This was honestly a stretch. -Clyde is becoming friends with Keith. -Clyde is so CHARMING. -The senator is having nightmares about the fiance’s brothers he had killed by the cartel guys and now he’s on edge. -The Pizza Guy blames Big Dick for the bombings at the city council meeting. -Oh, and one more thing. Danielle went to a date at the Catcade (in Chicago for those in the area) and also recommends googling the banana scene from Not Another Teen Movie. Veronica Mars season 4, episode 3, "Keep Calm and Party On": -Recap -Veronica gets mugged by a PCH-er, and she kinda turns it around on him thanks to her trusty taser. -Do we believe the theory that Pizza Guy is spouting about the Maloofs paying off (and subsequently killing) the fiance? -The Senator: Do we see a future for him as a new Veronica Mars character? Danielle is very excited about the ACE Chicago Comic Con 2019 lineup and is excited to see if she can get interviews with any of them. Veronica Mars season 4, episode 2, "Chino and the Man": -Some of us were faked out by Dick's death, and some of us totally saw it coming. -Dick Casablancas, action movie star is a successful future we can totally see working for him. -Danielle is happy to have him back, since he was absent from the first episode. -The youngest Maluf does not act mature enough to have been engaged. He's acting like a 12 year old in mourning over his fingers, when he should be mourning the loss of the love of his life. -Logan gets himself in a huge fight, but it's in a much more controlled, un-Logan-like way. -"Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" is the perfect song for this scene. -Maddie: Is she Veronica 2.0 or is she just acting out in grief? -Hi Liam Fitzpatrick. Long time no confrontation. -Veronica pulls a gun on Liam much like Logan did to get Veronica out of the River Stix bar way back when. We really couldn't be more pumped to be able to record more Veronica Mars discussion with Hulu's release of season 4 just a few short weeks ago! We won't really have the same superfan and newbie designations since we've all seen Veronica Mars seasons 1-3 and the movie, so just come hang out with us as we discuss each episode of season 4 every week. Fun Facts: Kendra got to be at the Veronica Mars panel at SDCC a few weeks ago, and she tells us all about how awesome it was. Ariana just saw Gabrielle the other day, who was a host on the first round of Veronica Mars on ReWatchable, which is just so timely and wonderful. Maj found out that her cousin is having a baby! That's always fun. Kristen is geeking out about Alexis Denisof (Wesley Wyndam-Pryce from Buffy) being on Legacies season 2! Karen (and Kristen) just watched Jupiter Ascending (written and directed by the Wachowskis) and it has three Sense8 cast members in it, so if you're missing seeing them on your screen, check it out! (It's on U.S. Netflix at the moment.) Veronica Mars: Introduction Discussion -We're really excited to jump back into this show.
