LONG PAUSE Now clear your mind of all thoughts that take you away from the present moment. If they appear, just watch them dissolve. LONG PAUSE And draw in one more deep breath and let it go, centering on your third eye, the space between your eyes. LONG PAUSE As you breathe, let your third eye open and transport you to a new realm, a realm of dreams and imagination. PAUSE And as you travel to this realm you are surrounded by a cool, calming mist on either side of you. PAUSE After a few moments, the mist begins to move away, and streaks of sunlight pierce the air, making their presence known. PAUSE The sunlight illuminates your surroundings, and you find you’re standing on a rock, safe and secure, near a cascading masterpiece– a waterfall. PAUSE A symphony of water tumbles from high above into a blue-green pool below, PAUSE Mist and foam dance together amid the tiny rainbows that blink in and out with the sun’s light, all while turquoise bubbles pop. PAUSE As you look around, you notice an eagle perched on a branch nearby, and as the eagle spreads his wings, two beautiful, fluffy wings genty form on you. PAUSE You take a moment and just think about your silky plumages flapping in the breeze, and, like magic, they do. PAUSE You decide to test the wings, jumping up just a little off the rock, and feeling the air catch in your flapping wings. PAUSE And with each little jump, you feel a swell of confidence, of inner power gather within you. PAUSE You rise easily above the rocks, again and again, high enough to grab a branch from a tree. . PAUSE As you alight on the rock again, you draw in a deep breath, lift your head to the sky and leap off the rock. PAUSE The wings carry you effortlessly, suspending you before the majestic waterfall. PAUSE Splashes of water kiss the bottoms of your feet, as you glide from one side of the falls to the other. PAUSE Then you close your eyes and ask your wings to carry you behind the waterfall so you can know its secrets. PAUSE Your magic wings obey your wishes and lift you past the pool of water and in between the fall and a rock formation. PAUSE From behind the waterfall, you run your hands over the gray-black rocks that are cool and smooth to the touch. PAUSE You listen to the rush of the water, a curtain of strength cascading before you. PAUSE The wings draw you closer to the waterfall’s embrace, close enough that you prepare to feel its magic wrap around you. PAUSE As you move into the water, you feel completely comfortable as you absorb the strength embedded in every droplet of water strength that both relaxes and rebirths you. PAUSE And as you emerge from the other side, you turn to face the waterfall once more. PAUSE You hover above the turquoise pool, catching a glimpse of your face reflecting in the water. PAUSE At that moment, you feel the waterfall’s strength within, and know that, like the waterfall, you, too, are a masterpiece. PAUSE After a few moments, your wings deliver you back to your bed, and fold up like fans before magically disappearing. PAUSE You breathe and then melt into your bed, basking in tranquility and strength that you are a vessel for– now and forever. LONG PAUSE Now, allow yourself to relax  even more deeply, and as you continue breathing in cool, comfortable air, feel your body calm and become lighter, almost weightless in the sheets. LONG PAUSE The sheets are cool and crisp to the touch and they feel wonderful  as they brush against your skin. LONG PAUSE Now, imagine a breeze with just a tiny hint of a chill lightly tumbling over your body, bringing your body to a comfortable temperature to sleep. PAUSE And the breeze lifts you  ever so slightly off the bed so that it cools the expanse of your back before gently laying you back on your sheets. PAUSE And while the cool breeze softly blows, imagine a small mountain stream filled with rocks and cool water running alongside your bed. PAUSE After a moment, you move into the stream, allowing the cool water  to flow over your feet and ankles, and you’re pleasantly surprised how comfortable this makes you feel.  PAUSE While standing in the stream, you reach down and grab a stone that’s smooth and naturally cool from basking beneath the water. PAUSE You hold the stone stone in your hand, and feel its refreshing chill soothe your body. PAUSE You touch the stone against your face and chest, and its smooth surface feels restorative and peaceful. PAUSE A moment later, you reach down and  cup your hands,  so the cool stream water flows through them. PAUSE You cup your hands again, and this time let the cool water run down your arms. PAUSE Now, imagine as you are cooling off  in the stream, that a clear glass and pitcher  filled with water appear. PAUSE The cool water has  cucumber and lemon slices and ice cubes floating in it. PAUSE So, you pour yourself a glass of the rejuvenating liquid and savor it as it  slides down your throat, gently cooling you from the inside. PAUSE You sit on a large rock that juts out of the stream, a rock that’s nestled under  the shady canopy  of several oak trees. PAUSE And while relaxing on your rock, you dangle your feet in the water and sip the chilled drink. Your whole body feels at peace. PAUSE After a while, the breeze kicks up again, and you can feel it  gently lifting you  out of the stream. PAUSE The breeze flows in and around you, preserving the beautiful coolness of the stream and the icy drink. PAUSE And when the breeze  brings you back to your bedroom, it gently sets you back  in your bed. PAUSE And while resting on your sheets, you notice that the breeze is still there, blowing gently across you like a fan tinged with coolness. PAUSE You feel relaxed and comfortable and your whole body is ready to sink into a deep, satisfying sleep. PAUSE You can breathe in the cool air  from the mountain stream at any time,  and feel the water gently flowing over you, finding all the comfort and peace you need to sleep well and be well. LONG PAUSE Then take your ball and toss it high into the sky, where a passing cloud catches it, and sails it away. LONG PAUSE Now, take a moment to center yourself and breathe. And as you exhale deeply, entirely, snuggle up in your bed and get as comfortable as you can. LONG PAUSE It starts with the number one. See if you can imagine it, the number one, rising from the shadows, standing before you. PAUSE Your number one  reaches up to the sky, tall and powerful, like the tree of life, the ancient tree of wisdom. PAUSE And as you take a breath, the one, now an ancient tree, grows before you. Its branches stretch and bend and swirl, while its leaves gently unfurl. PAUSE The leaves, like iridescent jewels, glitter in the sun and radiate the power  of beginnings for you. PAUSE Now take a moment  and notice the trunk  of the tree. It’s the color  of acorns  and owls  and clay. The colors of Mother Earth. PAUSE Now, take a minute and breathe in and observe how the tree, plants itself in the ground, unrolling its unseen roots. PAUSE See if you can imagine  seeing roots wind and wend, tangle and untangle, holding firm the tree with the wisdom of the past coiled within them. PAUSE Take a pause for just a moment, and gaze at the tree, letting its secret images  unfold to you in the bark. PAUSE See if you can imagine a silvery sword  appearing in the bark, sharp and powerful. PAUSE As your eyes follow the sword, from handle to tip, you feel its gifts being shared. The sword shines  with mental clarity for you. PAUSE Now, see if you can picture the sword spinning, transforming into a golden chalice, that sparkles in the sunlight. PAUSE The chalice moves you, filling your heart  with feeling  and inspiration and opening your intuition. PAUSE And imagine now  that the chalice shifts, and transforms  into a magic wand. PAUSE You reach out to  touch the wand, and its energy  dissolves into you, energy that opens you to act. PAUSE And imagine, now, that the wand trembles, changing its shape  into a golden coin. PAUSE Then, if you can, picture yourself moving your hand over the coin, feeling its smoothness  and taking in  its grounding power. PAUSE Now see if you can open your heart to accept these powerful gifts and to hold them deep in your heart, deep in your soul. PAUSE As you take in these gifts, you step back from the tree  to gaze in gratitude at all of it, from its roots  to the tips of its leaves. PAUSE There, before you,  a tree both old and wise and new and green. Your tree, your number one, blossoming with possibility. PAUSE Now, see if you can imagine silver light covering the tree, silver light like a mirror that reflects your radiant image. PAUSE As you look at your reflection, you see that you are all that is in and around this tree. This tree that grew from the number one is you. PAUSE Slowly, the tree fades, and while it  dissolves into the ether, you feel its energies and wisdom grow in you. You are the tree. You are the One. PAUSE The hazy sands of emotions,  Swirl lightly around you now.  Your body feels discomfort, And you’re not quite sure how.  PAUSE Sometimes it’s in your body, Sometimes it’s in your mind. Whatever’s off within you, Has the power to bind.  PAUSE So tonight, let’s embark on, A journey to find what’s here, So we can gently extract it, Learn, and breathe it clear.  LONG PAUSE Let yourself slow down,  Each breath melts you more.  Let each muscle open,  As you prepare to explore.  PAUSE Invite your calming breath, To enter deep inside. See if it can pinpoint, Where any tightness hides.  PAUSE Feel yourself so deeply, Take notice of all that’s here. See if you can slow down, Enough to make it clear.  LONG PAUSE With every single breath, You sink into your bed. You melt a little more,  Thoughts extract from your head. PAUSE See if you can feel it, This space that opens up. It lives between each breath, But never interrupts.  PAUSE Every breath expands it more, This space of sweet stillness.  Let yourself be within, So you can find oneness.  LONG PAUSE As calm pours on in,  You hear the whispers clearly. They’re telling you why you’re off, Why you’re feeling weary.  PAUSE Your hand is on your heart, The whisper is calling you, To look discomfort in the eyes, So it can move right through.  PAUSE So feel into all that’s off,  Be brave as you sit with it.  You may discover about yourself, Something that’s hard to admit.  PAUSE But have no fear, you are loved, And all will be okay.  Learn everything you need to now,  So you can clear it away.  LONG PAUSE Now give yourself some love and grace, As you gather up it all. And with each breath, let it out,  All the big and small.  PAUSE Breathe and gather, Breathe and release. Breathe the matter, Breathe more peace. So you toss and turn in your bed, And frustratingly submit to the pain. PAUSE… But you don’t have to suffer, You can surrender to peaceful sleep. PAUSE… Let it move down your body, Your shoulders releasing with ease, Your chest, Your belly, Your hips, It warms you to your knees. LONG PAUSE… Soon the warm glow hums, Upon your beating heart. Here she begins to speak, There’s wisdom she wants to impart. PAUSE… Relax, she says, This day is done, There’s nothing for you to do. Let all those thoughts drift away, So sleep can replenish you. LONG PAUSE… You breathe in deep, And snuggle in, You’re free to dream at last. Nothing needs to be figured out, Those thoughts can easily pass.  LONG PAUSE… Feel your body melt, And your eyes get heavy and calm. Relax even further now, Deep deep sleep is where you belong. And then exhale long,  Imagining the thoughts dissolving into the night. PAUSE… Follow your breath for a bit, Riding its soothing waves. In, And out. Slower, And slower. Relaxing you, Calming you, And melting you deeper into comfort.  LONG PAUSE… Breathe… And imagine a soothing hand of love, Placing herself on the crown of your head. Relaxing you, Slowing down the thoughts, And easing your mind. PAUSE… Feel the warmth of her hand gently cover your eyes, And then your cheeks, As you relax your jaw, And let your entire face soften. PAUSE… Feel the calming hand of love rest upon your neck, Your shoulders, Your chest. PAUSE… Feel the thoughts releasing, And dissolving. Releasing, And dissolving.  PAUSE… Feel the space inside opening, And melting. Opening, And melting.  LONG PAUSE… Now feel as the hand of love, Slowly moves down your left arm, Your right arm, And then gently glides all the way  Down your back. PAUSE… Relax deeper. Breathe deeper. And surrender to sleep.  PAUSE… The warm hand of love now caresses your hips, And travels down your right leg, Your left leg, And ends her journey holding your feet. PAUSE… Let any thoughts and emotion that are left, Fall all the way down your body, And come into your feet. Released, breath by breath, Into the gentle hands of love. LONG PAUSE… So much space here, Deep within your mind. Deep within your heart. Deep within your soul. PAUSE… So much space, For love to fill. For stillness to live.
