Episode 77 - Dante Mullinix (Part 2)

Last week, I told you the story of two-year-old Dante Mullinix of York, Pennsylvania, who died in the hospital on September 15, 2018. Dante’s death was ruled a homicide caused by traumatic brain injury with strangulation and chest compression, but Dante’s head and body were also covered in bruises, and he suffered from an active case of herpes 2.

My guest on today’s episode is Dante’s maternal aunt, Sarah Mullinix, who helped her sister raise Dante for all but the last three months of his life and petitioned the court for emergency custody of her nephew when she found out Leah and Dante were homeless. Even after his death, Sarah continues fighting for Dante. Sarah and I talked about the circumstances of Dante’s life and untimely death and about the man she believes was wrongfully accused of her nephew’s murder.
