In this episode, our scouts take a deep-dive on 3 promising goaltending prospects: Jacob Fowler (Montreal), Trey Augustine (Detroit), and Dennis Hildeby (Toronto)! First, they take a look at Jacob Fowler, a 2023 3rd-round selection of the Habs whose intelligence and athleticism have enabled him to shut down NCAA competition with impressive consistency as a freshman. Next, they shift their eyes to another 2023 pick: Trey Augustine, a 2nd round selection by the Red Wings, who has been the model of composure and consistency among American goaltending prospects for 2.5 years already. Last, they look at an older player, Dennis Hildeby: drafted by the Maple Leafs in 2022, who has gotten off to a lights-out start to his AHL career, significantly outplaying both Martin Jones and Keith Petruzzelli in the Marlies' crease.
