"Crazy Ex" Jessica McCord

We've all heard tales of the "crazy ex" --you may even have a crazy ex but we bet your ex doesn't hold a candle to Jessica McCord.

Jessica McCord and her ex-husband Alan Bates had a bitter divorce, and an even more contentious custody battle over their two daughters.

For 7 years, the former couple engaged in an all out war over custody of their kids. Jessica and Alan had both remarried. Jessica met a police officer while working as a secretary for the Police Department. Alan married to a co-worker in a Maryland theater company.

Finally when Alan had enough, he flew to Birmingham from Maryland in February of 2002 to hammer out a new custody agreement in front of a lawyer. This was the beginning of the end for Alan Bates and his new wife, Terra Klugh Bates.

Jessica McCord with the help of her new husband, Jeff, set into motion a plan to take out for ex-husband for good.

Join Mountain Murders as we discuss the tale of a truly 'crazy ex' in Jessica McCord and the senseless killings of two innocent people.
